Generally, it is not considered auspicious for Indians to wear white unless it is clubbed with a red or a maroon, or a colour that is bound to pop out. That is probably why you don’t find that many options when it comes to plain whites. The recommendation, however, would be that you should shun the superstitions, be bold and drape around yourself pristine whites. After all, the ruling palette for 2018 will be whites, greys, and pastels.
