The Eternal Bond Of Love Between Bollywood And Sarees

Bollywood has always been very close to all the Indians in terms of shaping their thought process to deciding the fashion quotient. Bollywood has always managed to left its mark on people. In this journey of influence, sarees worn by bollywood divas has always been able to set fashion goals for women from ages. This trend has continued over the years as even today women follow the look of celebrities from their movies and buy bollywood sarees online.
 
From classic brasso saree or crepe saree to flowy chiffons and silks, bollywood actress has managed to portray beauty and elegance of saree on screen. From the retro era to modern bollywood time, the style of saree has evolved over the years.

The cinema in 1970s were eye openers in itself. During this time cinema showed the power of women draped in silk and cotton sarees. Jaya Bachan draped in simple cotton and silk saree, Rekha and Zeenat Aman with their glamorous sarees which captured the attention of the million. This was also the time of experiment with bold colours, design, neckline pattern which were worn by bollywood divas.

1980’s
 
Satya Paul’s collection of sarees reinvented the look of sarees that pave the way of saree design in recent times. Movies like Chandani played by Sridevi was the best example where the actress flaunted chiffon sarees which stole the heart of millions. Even with Dimple Kapadia the response was phenomenal. Sarees designed with sophisticated pattern and colour was the hot favourite for women of that time.  This era showed elegance and style in its saree fabrics which is the reason even today chiffons and these bright coloured sarees are hot favourite within women.

1990’s
 
1990 was the era where Madhuri Dixit made the so many people crazy from her look in zari embroidered purple saree. Apart from her many other actress flaunted saree and gave it more sensual appeal to its overall aura. This was the time when the saree design changed itself. Even today women buying wedding saree online tend to look for these designs and colour type.

2000s
 
2000’s was another significant time for sarees. We saw chiffon, georgette, net sarees which saw spurt in this era. Beginning from Devdas where Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit mesmerized viewers with their traditional benarasi saree. After the sushmita sen flaunted chiffon saree which captured the attention and set the trend for chiffon sarees.

In present time:
 
Top actress from bollywood such as Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and other actress has made many public appearance wearing sarees of various kinds in innovative blouse designs and chic style.
